The IFI is a French real estate wealth tax introduced in 2018, replacing the ISF. Residents with property worth over €1.3 million, as well as non-
residents owning property in France, are subject to it. Rates range from 0.5% to 1.5%. Main residences get a 30% deduction. The 2024 Finance Act limits
certain deductions. Furnished rentals can be exempt if specific criteria are met.
