Set in a pedestrianized street, this corner house is but a few metres
away from the beautiful Plaza Mayor and church of the centre of the old
market town of Albox, it is quiet but I would imagine on a warm summer
evening the doors will be open along it and the neighbouring families
will be out on the street with their deckchairs and rockers chatting
away making the most of the breeze passing through and out the back of
their houses.
The façade of the house is a bit jaded and flaky but look up and you
will see it’s large shuttered windows with their fancy rejas are all in
good condition. To one side is an entrance to what was once a small
shop, this could be kept for a small business perhaps (it even has a
little washroom/loo) but could be incorporated quite easily back into
the main house too by knocking down a wall. The large tall double
wooden main entrance door opens up into a tall but wide passage way off
which on both sides you have rooms of varying sizes. To the right are
two rooms, one that has an amazing set of shelves set in, full of books
from A’s studies to be a doctor but was apparently where his
grandmother used to have a little shop, through this room you go into
another where there is plenty of space for a double bed. Both of these
rooms have tall shuttered windows allowing as much or as little light
in as you need.
To the left of the entrance hall, again you have two rooms. The first
has been used as a sitting room with a doorway that will take you
through to the kitchen area, the further room again is a large double
bedroom at the moment, these could certainly be knocked into one to
make an enormous lounge or dining room if you wanted. The tiles on the
floors are original and although work is needed to level in certain
areas are not too damaged and could easily be reused.
At the end of the entrance hall is an inner hallway which leads off to
a kitchen and bathroom and the staircase up to the top fl
