Buying a property in Hungary is practically cheap. Costs consist registration fees (0.01% - 0.05%), a transfer tax/stamp duty of 2% up to HUF 4 million
and 4% over HUF 4 million, legal fees of 0.5% - 1.5%. Surveys are not mandatory but advised and cost $100 – $200. Realtors charge 3% - 5% brokerages to
the seller.
