This typical semi-detached village house, nestled down in the valley
below the church, is ideal for people who are looking to live in a
traditional Spanish village and integrate. Definitely in need of some
TLC and updating but with amazing scope this house and land could
offer a family with good all-round DIY skills or an eye for a bargain
to live their dream in Spain.
Overall, this would be a great family house located in a quiet, but
happening village (3 fiestas a year!) located not far from the largish
town of Tijola which has supermarkets, banks, schools and other shops.
It is 48 kilometres from the town of Baza with its beautiful reservoir,
spas, restaurants and scenery and also the Granada motorway.
The village of Bayarque is not huge (200-250 people) but I am reliably
informed there are English people already living there, most with young
families. The village has bars and a small supermarket, a nursery
school, church and a swimming pool. There is also a doctor’s surgery.
There is also a bus available to take the children to school in Tijola
if they are a bit older.
The coast would be about an hour’s drive away and about an hour and a
half to the skiing in the Sierra Nevada at Granada.
